Chainfelt LLC ("Chainfelt," "we," "us") operates chainfelt.com (the "Site") and provides marketing services. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It is not legal advice.

Information we collect

The live chat widget is the only place on this Site where we collect information from you directly. We do not run contact forms, lead capture forms, or booking forms on this Site.

• Information you give us through live chat. The chat widget asks for your email address and phone number, and it records the contents of your conversation with us.
• Information you give us by email. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write.
• Usage data. We use Umami, a cookieless analytics service, to understand how the Site is used. It records page views, referring page, browser and device type, and approximate country. It does not set cookies, does not fingerprint you, and does not track you across other websites.

We do not use advertising pixels on this Site, and we do not buy or receive enrichment data about you from third parties.

How we use it

• To answer your question and continue the conversation you started.
• To evaluate a possible engagement and follow up about our services.
• To send you promotional messages by text or phone, only where you gave consent (see below).
• To operate, secure, and improve the Site.
• To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Text messages and phone calls

When you give us your phone number in the chat widget and agree to the consent language shown there, you authorize Chainfelt LLC to text or call that number for promotional messages, possibly using automated means. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies. Consent is not a condition of purchase.

Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe, or HELP for help. We honor opt-out requests promptly.

We do not share or sell mobile phone numbers, or the consent you gave to receive messages, to any third party or affiliate for their own marketing purposes. Phone numbers are disclosed only to the service providers listed below that deliver messages on our behalf.

Cookies and local storage

We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. Our analytics are cookieless. The Site stores your light or dark mode preference in your browser's local storage. Our live chat provider may set cookies or local storage in order to keep your conversation open between page loads. You can clear these through your browser settings.

Who we share it with

We use a small set of service providers who process data only on our behalf:

• GoHighLevel (LeadConnector) for the live chat widget, our CRM, and email and SMS delivery.
• Umami for cookieless website analytics.
• Vercel for website hosting.
• Google Workspace for email.

We may also disclose information if required by law or legal process, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under the GDPR and the CCPA, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may opt out of certain processing. To make a request, email elijah@chainfelt.com. We will verify your identity before responding and will respond within the timeframe required by law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

We do not target the Site at visitors in the EU, EEA, or UK, but we honor requests from anyone who makes one.

Data retention

We keep chat transcripts, inquiry data, and CRM records indefinitely as part of our business records. That includes keeping a record of the consent you gave to receive messages, and a record of any opt-out request, so that we can continue to honor it.

You can ask us to delete your personal information at any time using the contact details below, and we will do so, except where we are required to keep it to meet a legal, tax, or accounting obligation, to resolve a dispute, or to maintain the suppression record that keeps us from messaging you again after you opted out.

Analytics data is aggregate and is not tied to you.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

The Site is intended for business audiences and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.

Where your information is processed

We are based in the United States, and information we collect is processed in the United States and in other countries where our service providers operate. If you use the Site from outside the United States, you understand your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Changes take effect when posted with a new "Last updated" date. Please review it periodically.
